About Us
Rick (Shake) Baker believed that strong friendships and a loving family were the two pillars to a successful life. Upon childhood Rick and Brian Semkowski (co-founder of Equals Brewery) would form a friendship that would span a lifetime and would bear witness to 14 successful business ventures over the past 30 years. Along with Paul Atkinson and Randy Gillies, the two other partners at Southwest Sun Group, Shake was
a key part in their latest business venture, the founding and success of Equals Brewery.
Inspired by our long-time friend and to ensure that his legacy lives on, the Equals family created a beer in tribute to Shake. Our goal is to maintain and support Rick’s initiative to up-keep and improve the future of pancreatic cancer one brew at a time
with our new SHAKE Lager.
